Week 2 pictures

Following Keith's advice, seeing the good weather on Friday morning I rushed out to make the most of it before it clouded over.  A golden light.  I have included some patterns as well.

Week 2 homework: light, contrast and patterns

The light was rather dull so I thought I would try B&W with contrast:

and some colour with light then texture and patters:

I'm having trouble in the 'Select a File' dialog box. Uploading my photos is fine, it's when I try to select an image to post and press the 'Add Selected' button that the whole dialog box freezes - I can't close or cancel the box in fact. Thought there might be an issue with file sizes so I resized a couple of photos to 1MB or less and that didn't seem to make a difference.

Here are a few quick practice pictures for our week 1 homework.  Looking at them, it's harder than I thought to align to the "thirds grid" which I was trying - and introducing a few lines at the same time:

Alignment of the next two different - first on the door and sign, 2nd on the window edge - give a very different picture yet are very similar.  I would like opinions as to which is better and why!

I have not really had time to do this assignment but I did find myself in Oxford Street yesterday with only my phone I'm afraid, so these pictures are rather rough and ready.
